How To Put The Spikes:

DIY SPIKED HEELS | How To Put The Spikes | Via Mazzini Blog

1. Arrange all items and get ready for the exciting job. Start with a pump-style shoe with a 4" heel or higher.

2. Target the upper portion of the shoe. Spikes should be placed only in the shoe’s upper; you don’t want to drill into the actual heel.

3. Look at the seam at the back of your heels and mark with pencil where you want the spikes to sit. You want the spikes to sit apart so that there isn’t too much strain on the seam.

4. Using your hole making tool, push through the seam and wiggle to create a hole.

5. Push the screw through the hole, using a screwdriver to twist if it is difficult to get through. Go slow and watch your fingers!

6. Attach your spikes to the screw by twisting.

7. Use the screwdriver to tightly screw the studs on. Make sure the screws are flush with the leather so your the back of your heel doesn't irritate you.

8. Voila, all done! Simple right?

- The bacteria cannot live in an environment covered in honey; due to honeys antiseptic qualities

HONEY LEMON MASK FOR FACE | VIA MAZZINI

Directions:

Squeeze 1/2 of the lemon into a bowl(about 2tsp), mix in honey and stir until its like cough syrup. Apply mask to freshly cleansed face. Make sure you don’t exfoliate your skin before adding this mask because the lemon juice can make it sting. Let the mask sit for about 20 minutes, and try not to talk. Rinse off with cold water (helps close pores) and pat dry your face. You can do this every morning or every night. Apply a good moisturizer afterwards. Give it some time to see results.

One of the biggest trend this summer? Florals! So we thought how about rose trimmed glasses? Inspired by the widespread floral trend and our love of Dolce & Gabbana's Baroque-inspired fall collection, we’re DIY'ing a pair of outrageously fabulous sunglasses (via HonestlyWTF) using the little ceramic roses.  Even if you hate anything floral, you'll find it quite hard to resist a pair of these cool floral shades. With these shades you won’t go unnoticed in this summer!

Bet you thought these cute little flowers on these adorable glasses were real.

What You’ll Need:

  • A pair of sunglasses
  • Ceramic roses and flowers
  • Disposable container or ice cream stick and toothpicks
  • Cotton buds
  • Good quality and quick drying glue
Floral Sunglasses | What You Need | Via Mazzini Blog

Make sure your sunnies are clean – this is what the cotton bud's for. Play around with sections and placements to decide how you want your design to be.  Squeeze a small amount of glue into a disposable container or onto a wooden popsicle stick. Using the tip of a toothpick, apply a dollop of glue onto the back of the largest ceramic flower.

Floral Sunglasses | Step1 | Via Mazzini Blog

Press the flower firmly onto the outer corner of the sunglasses. Hold it in place, for at least a minute, until the glue sets. Working along the top of the glasses, continue to add smaller flowers.

Floral Sunglasses | Step2 | Via Mazzini Blog

Add a few small flowers down the right side of the glasses. After most of the flowers have set, unfold the sunglasses and add a couple of larger flowers on the temples or arms.

Floral Sunglasses | Step3 | Via Mazzini Blog

Repeat on the other side and let it sit for an hour or so to dry.

Via Mazzini Fashion Horoscope : Style Zodiac Leo

By Via Mazzini
Jul 23 - Aug 22

Did you ever wonder why young children strongly like a certain outfit and dislike another one? Did it ever cross your mind, if your zodiac sign helps dictate your personal style? Chances are probably not..Eh! But the fact is your sign draws you to certain looks.  We at Via Mazzini are trying to discover in this blog the link between fashion and the stars.
"Success is most often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable." -- Coco Chanel (Leo)
Its being said that you can tell a lot about someone just by looking at the person's shoes. We've all heard this saying... Yes! Same goes for your F-sense (read Fashion Sense). Style can change over time or become more developed, but the underlying style sense one possess is based on their sign and the stars. This time of the year is for Leos (The Lion) and the key phrase goes I am LEO, hear me roar!

Zodiac Symbol:

The majestic lion, the King of the Beasts is Leo's symbol

Planet:

The Sun

Compatibility:

Aries, Sagittarius

Colors:

Gold, Orange, Yellow, Red, and Black

Discover the optimum sun-sign self:

Leo is one of the most loyal and big-hearted signs of the zodiac. Leos, like lions, are thought to be strong leaders. They are independent and oozing confidence. They enjoy being seen as a person of substance and status, and prefer to be in a position to help others. They help those who are feeling down and are wonderful at motivating others. Routine and boring stuff makes a Leo frustrated. Leo's live in the fast lane, working and playing very hard but they have a tendency to lose patience and become irritable when under pressure or over-tired. Leo make great friends and are very difficult not to like.

Traits:

Leo woman is the embodiment of honor, loyalty, faithfulness, and trust. You can easily pick out a Leo woman from a crowd - she's the one with the loudest laugh, the brightest smile, and the most confident strut of them all. She is passionate, playful, and very lively but can occasionally be hot-tempered. She wouldn't be dominated; rather she has to be restrained.

The Look : Vive la femme

Leo loves to shop! The fashion style of Leo, mirrors their personality. Leo like to be noticed! They enjoy wearing leather, faux fur, silk, sequins and any other items that draws attention. Designer labels are extremely important to a Leo and they have very sophisticated taste. Gold and diamond jewelry is the only way to go for a Leo - the best jewelry money can buy. They dress in a style that expresses their mood of the day and emotions. One style that Leos can pull off most of the time is the look of animal prints in the way of pants, tunics, tops, and skirts. Leo looks good in colored tops to go with whatever the bottoms. They are always put together and have a strong sense of understanding what looks good on their body. Leo women can pull off distressed jeans at any age and look smashing so long as their tops are classy or dressy enough to pull off the torn up look of the denim. Her hair is her mane, and she is proud of it. If you are a Leo, you can wear a silk or satin shirt, with an embellishment of sequins around the collar to add just enough sparkle for daytime and show the wild side. You can try leopard print shoes to add a flare to your personality. Find colors that work with your eyes and hair color, and your skin tone. For Leo, the bolder and trendier the better.

DIY Friendship Bracelet

By Via Mazzini
Friendship Bracelet | DIY | Via Mazzini Blog
Friendship Day (celebrated every first Sunday of August) is just around the corner. A day dedicated to celebrating friendship; the day everyone reaches out to their friends with smiles and joy and thank them for their love and support. Our lives are always so hectic, with little time to spare, but it's a wonderful feeling just to let others know that you're out there, and that you care..

The most important person in your life (your BFFer, of course) is always hard to buy for and nothing says ‘you’re my best friend in the world’ more than a little nostalgia and a friendship bracelet. There's just something beautiful about friendship bracelets. We don't really know if friendship bracelets have ever gone out of style, but it certainly appears that they are becoming more popular now than they were in yester years.. Yep, the same type that you and your girlfriends used to make and trade when you were tweens—except that you probably won't want to trade these ones.

Multiple Bracelet Stacking Trend | Via Mazzini Blog
So, just in time for the friendship day we bring to you a small tutorial on how you can make your own friendship bracelet for your bestie.

What You’ll Need:

Waxed cotton cord or embroidery thread(in any colour of your choice), connector charm(as available), scissors, tape, ruler, and glue.

How To Do The Bracelet:

Friendship Bracelet | how To DIY | Via Mazzini Blog
  1. Cut the knotting cord into two 30 inch, two 20 inch and one 10 inch lengths. Fold the 20 inch piece in half, pull the loop through the connecter charm, fold it over, and pull the rest of the cord through the loop. Repeat the step on the other side of the charm. These strands will remain anchored.
  2. Tape it to something sturdy so the bracelet is secure while you make the knots. Center the 30 inch cord under the two middle strands. Fold the right cord over the middle strands and under the left cord.
  3. Pull the left cord under the right and middle strands and through the loop on the right side. Pull the strands tight and push the knot up to the top. To finish the other side of the knot, fold the left cord over the middle strands and under the right cord. Pull the right cord under the left and middle strands and through the loop on the left side. Continue going back and forth until you get to the desired length (keep in mind that the clasp will take up approximately half an inch) and then move on to the other side. See video below.
  4. To finish the knots, thread both cords up 3–4 knots along the backside. Pliers or a needle may help with this.
  5. Cut the ends and dab them with super glue so that they are even more secure. Do this process to both sides.
  6. To create a sliding closure, shape the bracelet into a circle and overlap the ends. Using scrap cord, temporarily tie at the ends. Take the 10 inch cord and center it under the strands. You’re going to start the knot exactly the same way you did before.
  7. Create 4–5 knots and finish the ends the same way you did before. Undo the temporary ties. The two sets of middle cords become the adjustable ties of the bracelet. Adjust it to fit your wrist and trim the ends.

By Via Mazzini

What is that one thing women can’t do without no matter wherever they go? Yes, you guessed it right! Handbag it is.

Growing up, we do believe that we’ve all come to hold a special place in our hearts for the beloved accessory that defines who we are, just as much as the shirts on our backs and the shoes on our feet. The difference? Most women carry one bag day in and day out. Many of us have more than 40 tops, 20 pair of footwears and countless accessories in our closet, which seems to be always over crowded with stuff. But most of us have less number of handbags sitting in our wardrobe, sometimes near to the mirror or shelves next to our shoes. All in all, we women are the same… we love our handbags as they are the accessory that we always have on hand and yet rarely change out like we do with the rest of our wardrobes. When you find a good bag, you simply keep it for years.

When it comes to putting together an outfit that’s going to make you look your best, it is important to add accessories to it.
